Daniel M. Cohen, M.D.

Physician

Daniel Michael Cohen, M.D., a distinguished medical professional, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and his journey in the field of medicine began at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he earned his B.Sc. and M.B.B.ch. degrees. Dr. Cohen embarked on a diverse medical career, initially undertaking a mixed internship in Internal Medicine and Obstetrics/Gynecology at Baragwanath Hospital. His pursuit of excellence continued with residencies in General Pediatrics/Pediatric Intensive Care at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and General Surgery at Mount Zion Hospital & Medical Center in San Francisco, California, and the University of Illinois in Chicago. Subsequently, Dr. Cohen specialized in Cardiothoracic Surgery through a residency at the University of Washington and fellowships at the University of Chicago, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

 

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Cohen held various hospital appointments, including Associate Surgeon and Chief Thoracic Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and Harvard Medical School. His commitment to medical education was evident in his academic appointments, serving as an Assistant Professor at East Carolina University School of Medicine, Associate Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Professor at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, and Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Dr. Cohen's contributions have extended globally through his participation in international medical service missions, showcasing his expertise in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery in locations such as Nairobi, Kenya; Chennai, India; Lviv, Ukraine; East Jerusalem, Israel; Penang, Malaysia; and other regions.

Margaret F. Rinaca, C-PA

Physician Assistant, Certified

Margaret F. Rinaca is a certified Physician Assistant who is licensed in Florida. Margaret has been in practice for more than 10 years and has spent most of her career working in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care settings. She obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant degree from Nova Southeastern University. She specializes in Family Medicine with a focus on health and wellness. Margaret has a passion for procedures and providing patients with a positive healthcare experience. She is very professional, personable, and enthusiastic about her work. Margaret seeks to put her patients and their healthcare needs first.
